Where I’m coming from…
Chicago, by way of the front range of Colorado. Colorado State in Ft. Collins is where I got my BFA in printmaking and my beginnings in design at the school newspaper. Scraping copper plates and Quark Xpress on Mac IIcis; ink, paper and rubylith.
Everything I've ever learned to do — from screen printing to Photoshop — I learned because it was going to help me accomplish making some specific thing. It's the desire to be making that motivates me, and the details and process in the making that get me to a finished project.
Needing to make a thing, and figuring out how I'm going to make it is what I enjoy.
